CentriLogic buys managed IT infrastructure provider to expand Canadian presence, high profile customer base

IT World Canada recently interviewed CentriLogic President and CEO, Robert Offley, on the acquisition of Advanced Knowledge Networks (AKN), a national provider of managed IT infrastructure and wide area network services. In the article, Robert touches on some of the strategic reasoning behind the company’s latest acquisition, including the immediate access to a new customer base and an expanded Canadian presence. The acquisition will also enable CentriLogic to leverage AKN’s service offerings and capabilities, and create cross-selling opportunities for existing customers.

According to Offley, “[AKN] has long-term relationships established with telecom carries, as well as deep relationships in healthcare and with provincial governments that CentriLogic is looking to build on”

In addition to strengthening CentriLogic’s service offerings and presence nationwide, the acquisition was a natural fit for both companies as CentriLogic and AKN have already worked together for several years.
